Visions of Johanna.........live version from Biograph...........one of THE best Dylan songs.

Visions of Johanna.........live version from Biograph...........one of THE best Dylan songs. I agree Visions of Johanna is one of the BEST Dylan songs, no question! I read that it was supposed to be written for Nico, tho I think most people think it's about Joan Baez.

It Takes A Lot to Laugh..........Bob the Bluesman at his finest......
Bridget St John is an English singer/writer/inventive guitarist. Now living in NYC but was very active in late 60s/70s.Similar vocal range as Marianne Faithfull and wrote most of her material.....often featuring emotional/lost love overtones. She occasionally tours in the UK,playing small venues, mainly.
Championed by John Peel on BBC radio and on his Dandelion record label.Bridget was a huge fave on the College/small gig /concert support slot circuit.Lovely live sound.......youtube has a good mix of her work.A great example of the late 60s/early 70s singer /songwriter genre.

Bob and co from The Concert for Bangla Desh..........following the documentary on BBC4.Excellent listening/viewing.
No sign of Dylan's nerves, despite his worries at rehearsals.Bob and George Harrison-great harmonies.......not for the last time.....

I think you could see Dylan was a bit nervous at first but he got over it quite quickly and sounded amazing doing Just Like A Woman, It's A Hard Rain etc.
