Just Like A Woman..........in a Waterstone's book shop, checking out the 'new' Woody Guthrie novel 'House of Earth'.....on the in house music came a very familiar intro......cue Dylan.....great timing Bob!
Very interesting book too, with foreward and notes of particular interest to Woody/Bob fans.

No.....I just use Waterstone's like a library! I'm joking.....but it will be true if the library is closed through cutbacks.
I will get the Woody book some time.It was a funny afternoon.I wasn't even looking for the Woody book.....then Bob surprised me!As you say,it is always good to hear Bob unexpectedly.......he works in mysterious ways.....

Actually I am not listening to any music right now - but the first song that comes into my head is "Blowing in the Wind" - and now I am listening to it - in my head.

By the way - I wish the answer would blow my way, because I have been waiting for the answer for a long time - no pressure, Wind, I know you're kind of busy these days, what with hurricanes to blow and warm breezes to perform, I can't imagine you'll get here any time soon.

John Paul II said to Dylan that the wind was the Holy Spirit. It's supposed to be blowing towards you, as opposed to away from you. Make sense?

Dark Eyes......vintage acoustic Dylan at theend of the tinny 80s sound of Empire Burlesque.
I really hope this album is totally re mixed sometime. If only to restore a decent drum sound.......the original is an insult to Jim Keltner's talents. In fact,it doesn't do anyone any favours. There are some great songs in the mix.

Shelter From The Storm.......played it twice and then had to hear the whole of Blood On The Tracks!
A superb album,so full of imagery and drive.Memories of a BBC radio John Peel show when BOTT was released. It made such an impression on Peel,he played the whole LP from start to finish.......that's quality radio.RIP and thanks again,John.
